Need more reasons to go with a brand-new GMC vehicle for your family rather than a slightly older one? We’ve rounded up a handful of exciting updates found on the 2022 GMC lineup here at Sunrise Chevrolet Buick GMC at Collierville.
Some of what’s new for GMC trucks
If you’re in the market for a 2022 GMC truck, both the Sierra 1500 and Canyon have some new offerings. The all-new Sierra 1500 boasts a refreshed look characterized by LED lighting and a new front-end style on the outside and a larger infotainment display on the inside. And the 2.7-liter engine now gets 20% more torque than the outgoing model year so you can have efficiency without sacrificing performance.
For the 2022 Canyon, the brand offers a new special package for the Denali trim: Black Edition. This package includes all-weather floor mats, 20-inch black wheels, and a black exhaust tip.
Some of what’s new for GMC SUVs
The Terrain got a substantial makeover for the 2022 model year. It has a revamped design and three new exterior color options. GMC has also included an AT4 variant for those that need a more rugged version of the Terrain to keep pace with off-roading excursions in Tennessee and beyond.
The 2022 Hummer EV is one of the brand’s most celebrated releases for the year. Available later in 2022, the SUV version of the Hummer EV has a unique style that helps you stand out from the crowd. And it has an estimated 300+ mile range per charge, according to the manufacturer.
Summer in Tennessee means high temperatures and plenty of humidity. The last thing you want to happen is for your car to leave you stranded on the side of the road on a sweltering day. With a little bit of preventative care, you can help prevent this from happening. Follow these summer maintenance tips to get started.
Check Your Battery
Your car’s battery is highly susceptible to heat. High temperatures can cause the battery fluid to evaporate quickly. Have your battery tested to make sure it’s ready for the season ahead.
Inspect Your Tires
The only thing keeping you in contact with the road is your car’s tires. Look them over and make sure you have enough tread depth, there isn’t uneven wearing, and they’re properly inflated. If you find any problems, have them checked by a professional.
Check Your Fluids
Along with the battery fluid, your vehicle’s other fluids can start to disappear in the summer. Check vital fluids like coolant, engine oil, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid to make sure they are at the proper levels.
Test the HVAC System
If your air conditioning doesn’t seem as cold as it used to, it could need a recharge. Take your car in to have the system checked out.
