Chevy teases the 2022 Bolt EV and EUV

Bolt EV - Memphis, TN

Chevy is preparing some new and exciting green options for drivers in the 2022 model year. The brand is refreshing the iconic Bolt EV and adding an all-new, adventure-ready Bolt EUV to the lineup. We’re looking forward to taking these electric vehicles for a ride when they debut next year. Until then, Chevy gave us a glimpse of what we can expect.

The teaser images don’t show a lot of the new vehicles, but one thing that’s apparent is how the Bolt EUV stands out from the Bolt EV with a sleeker, more aerodynamic silhouette. Wraparound taillights and sharp, sweeping angles give the Bolt EUV a sophisticated look. It’s also bigger than the Bolt EV, adding around five inches to the length and three inches to the wheelbase. Larger proportions will make the Bolt EUV a great choice for families with greater cargo space needs.

We’re still waiting for confirmation from Chevrolet, but it’s been suggested that the Chevy Bolt EUV will come with roof racks. These will be great for holding additional cargo, like bikes or kayaks.

The Bolt EUV will also be the first-ever vehicle outside of Cadillac models to offer the high-tech Super Cruise driver-assist feature. Super Cruise provides hands-free driving assistance on hundreds of compatible highways.

If you’re all about the compact electric vehicle, you’ll be glad to know there’s plenty to look forward to in the 2022 Bolt EV as well. It’s going to have more comfortable seats, a newer infotainment system, a redesigned dashboard, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Chevy Bolt Earns A Spot On KBB’s List of Longest-Ranged EVs

2020 Chevy Bolt EV - Memphis, TN

If you’ve been looking for a way to save money at the gas pump while reducing your carbon footprint, an electric vehicle is a great option. For a model that won’t force you to sacrifice range for efficiency, consider the Chevrolet Bolt EV, which was just named to Kelley Blue Book’s list of the 10 Longest-Ranged Electric Cars of 2020.

The 2020 Bolt has a best-in-class range of 259 miles. That’s about 10 percent more than previous Bolt generations. Even so, it still provides an impressive 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.

“It makes an excellent city car or runabout, and with some planning for recharges can even be a road-tripper,” said the KBB editors.

Chevy has you covered on your next road trip as well. With over 40,000 charging stations across the country, it’s not hard to find a convenient spot to power up. The myChevrolet Mobile App with Energy Assist shows you where those stations are and can calculate how much juice you have left based on road and weather conditions. Additionally, available DC Fast Charging can provide up to 100 miles of charge in just 30 minutes.

With such an impressive range, it won’t be long before EVs — like the Chevrolet Bolt EVs that we sell here at Sunrise Chevrolet Buick GMC at Collierville — are as common on the road as gas-powered vehicles.
