Chevy has revealed the upcoming 2024 Chevy Blazer EV, the first electric version of the iconic Blazer SUV. Set to go on sale in the summer of 2023, the new Blazer EV will deliver an incredible combination of electric range and power.
The Blazer EV will have an estimated driving range of 320 miles on a single charge with the RS trim, or as low as 247 miles on the base 1LT trim. The Blazer EV will offer a sport-driven SS trim, which can drive up to 290 miles on a full charge.
The Blazer EV SS is the first electric sport SUV from Chevy, and it’s designed to put out serious power. The SS can produce up to 557 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of torque, letting you go from 0 to 60 mph in under 4 seconds.
The other trim levels of the Blazer EV put out plenty of power too, and they’re loaded with smart tech and features. A 17.7-inch infotainment screen gives you a clear view of your navigation and streaming apps, and the 11-inch driver information center gives you a clear view of important vehicle info.
The Blazer EV delivers serious convenience with hands-free start, which senses the presence of the key fob and starts the car as soon as you tap the brake. A presence-based liftgate is also available, as well as available Super Cruise, Chevy’s hands-free driving tech.
Chevy offers all the latest safety technology you’re looking for in a new vehicle, whether you prefer a compact hatchback or a big pickup truck. Here are some features you can get on your new Chevy vehicle.
Adaptive Cruise Control
If you have a long commute on the highway, Adaptive Cruise Control is practically a necessity. This piece of technology uses a variety of sensors and highway maps to steer the wheel for you and control the speed, letting you sit back and relax even in stop-and-go traffic.
HD Surround Vision and Rear Camera Mirror
Chevy has some of the best camera technology in the auto industry. HD Surround Vision uses images from cameras around your car to create a composite overhead view, making it easier to park. And the Rear Camera Mirror provides a sharper, broader view of the area behind you than a standard rearview mirror.
Lane Change Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
These two pieces of technology both help you make safer decisions when your visibility is compromised. Rear Cross Traffic Alert lets you know when it’s unsafe to back out of a parking spot. And Lane Change Alert, which is paired with Side Blind Zone Alert, monitors your blind spot so you know when it’s safe to change lanes.
Rear Park Assist
Rear Park Assist is perfect for anyone who spends time in the city. Fitting into tight parking spaces is a breeze with Rear Park Assist, which alerts you to objects behind you when in Reverse, so you can avoid collisions while trying to park.
Intellibeam Auto High Beam Assist
Intellibeam makes night driving safer and easier than ever. When it senses another vehicle around you, it will automatically turn your high beams off, then turn them on again when the road is clear.
At first glance, the 2022 GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse might appear to be twins. However, these two models have some key differences to consider if you need some help deciding which one to bring home. That’s especially true when it comes to space and strength.
Though the 2022 GMC Acadia can seat up to seven people, it’s not as roomy as the 2022 Chevy Traverse. It offers 41.7 cubic feet of space behind the second row and 79 cubic feet when you collapse all of the rear seats. The larger Traverse can accommodate up to eight riders. There’s 57.8 cubic feet behind the second row. When you need more space for pets or possessions than people, collapse both back rows to access 98.2 cubic feet.
Both models are both reasonably efficient in terms of mileage — but the Traverse is the better choice when it comes to towing. But the Acadia can tow only 4,000 pounds max, while the Traverse can tow 5,000 pounds.
Lastly, the Acadia and Traverse contrast when it comes to trim options. The Acadia has more specialized trim levels, which include the luxury-oriented Denali and the off-road-focused AT4. But the Traverse has a higher quantity of trims — 6 to be exact. So, if you want a wide array of trims to choose from, go with the Chevy model.

Whether you use your Sierra for work, play, or a bit of both, the GMC ProGrade™ Trailering System will make towing both safer and easier. Here are just some of the benefits this system offers.

Customizable trailer profiles “remember” different types of trailers you pull on a regular basis, which saves time if you tow a variety of loads as part of your daily routine.
You can also monitor tire pressure during a trip, as well as fuel economy and mileage. This translates to a more informed driving experience.
Tap into the intelligence of the Smart Trailer feature when using your Sierra to transport an RV on your family’s travels. It works in tandem with the RV’s systems so you can prep the water heater for a shower or turn on the AC from a distance.

The 2022 Hummer EV is one of the brand’s most celebrated releases for the year. Available later in 2022, the SUV version of the Hummer EV has a unique style that helps you stand out from the crowd. And it has an estimated 300+ mile range per charge, according to the manufacturer.
If comfort is a priority in your next ride, then get behind the wheel of the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The well-equipped SUV made Kelley Blue Book’s Most Comfortable Cars Under $30K list. Thanks to its roomy cabin, smooth driving performance, and range of comfort features, the 2022 Equinox impressed the KBB judges.
The KBB jury praised the SUV’s range of standard features and available upgrades including heated seats, a power driver’s seat, and a high-end audio system.
“Seating is plush and supportive with standard cloth surfaces that become leather on higher trims. Adding visual appeal is the RS trim with red contrast stitching. There’s ample room for five adults with good headroom and legroom for rear passengers,” according to Nicole Wakelin, writer for KBB.com.

You love your Chevrolet Silverado. Fall in love with your truck even more by turning it into a money-making machine. Here are four ways you can use your spare time to make some cash with your Silverado.
Hauling junk. Everyone has some junk in their house that they want to get rid of. Offer your truck to haul away their junk for them. You could charge up to $60 an hour for this service.
Become a mover. While a standard pickup truck might not work for long-haul moves, offering up your truck for local moves could help you rake in some extra cash. Depending on your preference, you can choose to charge per project or per hour.
Tow vehicles. If you have a strong Silverado with good towing capabilities, this could be a good option for you. Make sure your vehicle has the necessary equipment and you have an adequate trailer for vehicle towing. You could offer your Silverado as a more affordable tow truck alternative.
Plow snow. While snow isn’t too common in Tennessee, the 2022 winter has already shown us what is possible. If your truck has the right equipment, consider investing in a snow plow. You could charge at least $75 per hour to clear driveways and parking lots.
Here at Sunrise Chevrolet Buick GMC, we want to make sure that you get the most out of your Silverado. Give us a call if you have any questions about your truck’s capacities or need help modifying your truck for your new side gig.
You know you need to take care of your car. Maybe you have your oil change schedule memorized and you regularly get your tires rotated. However, another crucial maintenance step is taking care of your battery. Most of us never think about our car batteries until its dead and we need a jump start. If you want to prolong the life of your battery, here are four battery maintenance tips.
Keep your battery secure. A loose battery can become disconnected and bash into other engine parts. This could cause battery acid to leak all over your engine. Make sure your battery is securely fitted into its tray.
Add distilled water. If you do not have a maintenance-free battery, then you must regularly refill it with water. Make sure you only use distilled water.
Clean your battery. Over time, the connections on your battery can become corroded. Unclamp your battery and clean any dirt, grease, and oxidation that has built up. When the connections get too dirty, it can weaken your battery.
Park in a garage. Extreme temperatures can decrease the life of your battery. When you park in a garage, this keeps your vehicle and the battery protected from freezing temperatures and scorching heat.
Holidays come with a higher risk of traffic fatalities, particularly those related to drunk driving. According to the National Safety Council, alcohol-impaired driving fatalities rise about 10% on New Year’s Day compared to the annual average. When it’s time to celebrate the coming of 2022, follow these New Year’s Eve driving tips to stay safe on the roads.
Establish a driving plan before you party
The worst thing you can do is head to a party without a plan for getting home. Before you drink, you should arrange to have a designated driver, prepare to pay for a taxi or ridesharing service, or crash at your friend’s place overnight.
Practice defensive driving
If you’re the designated driver, being sober behind the wheel is not enough to avoid getting into an accident. Be aware that other drivers are more likely than usual to be alcohol-impaired. Look ahead and expect the unexpected, maintain safe following distances, and yield to inattentive drivers — even if you have the right of way.
Confiscate your guests’ keys
If you’re hosting a New Year’s Eve party, look after your guests’ well-being. Ask them to give you their keys when they arrive so you can ensure they do not leave while unfit to drive. Consider serving nonalcoholic drinks and preparing an area where friends can crash.
